Cottage Garden Tidy
Last week started as a bit of an unknown following in the aftermath of Storm Ciara. With the weather forecast looking bleak for Monday I decided to take the day to sort other things out and leave the gardening until Tuesday or even Wednesday when the weather improved. As it turned out Monday was generally fine so the following day I threw caution to the wind and headed off into the wilds of sleet and hail showers.
Later on in the week we headed over to Ramsbottom where we had a very nice job; it consisted of the general garden tidy and applying compost to the beds as well as a little bit of flagging and weeding and fixing of a fruit cage. The garden itself was a cottage style, with a mix of poppies, geraniums, hydrangea and other perennials which will look stunning once spring and summer finally arrive.
